Celebrate Lenexa, the Spinach Capital of the World: Join Us for the Spinach Festival
Lenexa was hailed as the Spinach Capital of the World during the 1930s. Each year, we celebrate that part of our history with the annual Spinach Festival, a fun, family-oriented event that draws thousands of visitors from all over the area. It’s a fun-filled day of food, music, entertainment, arts and antique vendors. Excitement throughout the day is set in beautifully renovated Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park and includes:
The festival features, cooking demonstrations, history exhibits by the Lenexa Historical Society, the world’s largest spinach salad (150 pounds of fresh, washed spinach!), kids’ activities including a baby crawling contents, and much more!
One of the main attractions is the Art, Fine Craft and Antique show, featuring a wonderful variety of items such as pottery, fused glass, repurposed furniture and items, jewelry, baskets, wood items, metal garden art, quilts, clothing, doll clothes and accessories, antiques and vintage items.
Community interaction is an important part of life, which is why Edgewater at City Center Apartments in Lenexa, Kansas is urging you to join in the all of the excitement at this event!
